Task 6

Legal

Copyright

Copyright is to protect from other parties. For example to copyright a product takes away the right for anyone else to produce, distribute or sell that product. If its is broken the legal action can be taken against them.

Trademark

Trademark is a symbol or logo on a product that indicates that this product cannot be used by anyone except owner of that product. If this is ignored the Trademark the party can take legal action against them.

™ (for an unregistered trade mark, that is, a mark used to promote or brand goods)
℠ (for an unregistered service mark, that is, a  mark used to promote brand services)
® (for a registered trademark)

Patent

This is where the government would grant an inventor to patent the work they create. This basically stops any one else from making or selling the inventors invention. But only for a limited amount of time. When a patent is granted, the inventor of the invention gets the rights to sell, produce there product. But this only applies in the UK.

Ethical

People online usually have a lot to say when it comes to people from different origins, this is most common in how people think and treat women, Gladly more and more people are trying to change peoples opinions and are starting to treat everyone with equal rights

Violence

Violence brings a lot of attention to video games. This is because a lot of people think that violence games can make people more violent in day to day life due to media and press saying so. That is why games have age rating to stop minors being able to play games where you are able to kill people in violent ways. This then makes the parents to blame if they let their child play these types of games so developers get a lot of the blame taken away from them.

Education

Education in games is become more and more desecrate. to evidence this children's games can help with math and English. puzzle games are a great use of a child's mind, it can incorporate different tricks suck as sums to get to the next level.

Stereotyping

A lot of games stereotype, mostly towards women. For example people will think women stay at home, and all that they would do is cook and clean. This seems to be getting worse for the games industry because there is more women gamers than ever before.
