Task 2

Game Designer

A Game Designer job role is being responsible for the overall look and feel of a computer game.
Also overseeing any high-level decisions that affect how the game plays, looks and sounds.
Then ensuring the quality and style of the game play, artwork, music and audio assets

Devising what a game consists of and how it plays, defining all the core elements. Communicating this to the rest of the development team who create the art assets and computer code 


Lead Artist

To have the ability to take responsibility for the overall look of a game. Also to make sure that the visual material of he game is being produced on time and up to the best standard. The lead Artist also needs the skill of managing the animation and arts team. For example they would need to inspire their team by using their own distinctive style of art.

The job role of the Lead Artist is they need creative and technical skills. They also need to decide what tools are the best for the project.

They produce much of the initial artwork themselves, setting creative and technical standards and determining the best tools and techniques to use.


A lead Artist is the person hat has to lead a team of artists, and works with other teams to help every part of the game come together. The Lead Artist also makes sure that the team successfully works within the given budget, and has all work complete on the deadline. They would also make sure how the game looks at the end of the project and that it fits well with he content of the game.
              
Technical Artist


The Technical Artist is basically a bridge between the Artists and Programmers that work on a game. They make sure art assets can be easily integrated into a game without sacrificing the artists vision or using more than the platform there using can handle.

Level Editor

The Level Editor builds an interactive level for the game this includes the landscape, buildings and objects.
They must comply with the overall design specification, using the characters and story elements created by the Game Designers, but they often have large amounts of freedom to change the specific look and feel of the level for which they are responsible for. They give detail to  the environment, layout of the level, lighting, textures, and forms.

Artist

Artists create the visuals for a game, such as characters, scenery, objects, vehicles, surface textures, clothing, props, and even user interface components. They also create concept art and storyboards which portray the proposed visuals during the pre-production phase.

Animator

Animators in the games industry are responsible for the portrayal of movement and behavior.

Most often this is used to give life to game characters and creatures, but animations are also added to other elements such as 

objects, scenery, vegetation and other environmental effects. 

Audio Engineer

The Audio Engineer creates the sounds/ music for a game. This might include gunshots or explosions, character voices and other expressions, spoken instructions, and ambient effects, such as crowd noise, vehicles or rain, anything that needs to be in the game.

Game Programmer

Game Programmers work at the center of the game development process. They design and write the computer code that runs and controls the game, adding and editing any pre-coded code. They test the code and fix bugs, and also develop customized tools for other members of the development team to use.

Lead Game Programmer

The Lead Programmer leads the programming team and is responsible for creating all the computer code which makes the game. Programmers have many different roles and specialisms including AI (artificial intelligence), game engine development, user interface, tools development and physics(Gravity).

Project Manager/Producer

The Project Manager, also known as the Producer, is responsible for making sure the they finish the game on time and within the budget.

They control the financial aspect, and other aspects needed for a project, they also co-ordinate the work of the production team, making sure that the quality and design of the game is maintained to a stranderd, with any problems that may arise.
 

Assistant Producer

Producers assistant provides support to the producer. they are involved in everything the producer does, the producer can assign them responsibilities throughout the production of the game.

External Producer

Executive Producers are responsible for the quality of TV adverts, they ensure that the final product is up to standerd


Creative Director


The Creative Director is the lead person in the game development process, he oversees any high-level decisions that affect the game, with out his verdict the game will not change.

QA Tester

Quality Assurance Technicians, or Testers, perform a vital role. They test the game to see if they can find any issues, this helps ensure the game is playable. They play game in a systematic way, which analyzes the game against the designer’s intentions, finding problems and suggesting improvements.

Public Relations Manager

Public relations officer manages the organisation image and reputation, this involves gaining understanding and support for clients, as well as trying to influence opinion and behavior.


Product Manager

The product manager's role is to help create and design marketing campaigns to increase sales of the game they're working on. 

Marketing Executive

Marketing executives develop campaigns t promote an idea and o a product, service or idea. 

Marketing Manager

The marketing manager oversee all marketing, promotional and advertising campaigns, he developes marketing stratagies and is resonsible for them.
